ReplyDeleteMy favorite 2009 summer memory happened just last week. We took our 20-month-old daughter and our 7-month-old son to Hawaii for vacation. We had told the kids how wonderful it would be and taught our daughter how to say "Hawaii". When we stepped out of the jetway after our eight-hour flight, our daughter, Anna Kate, ran into the airort terminal exclaiming in the sweetest voice, "Wow, Hawaii, hooray, yea!" She was looking at her baby doll and saying, "Hawaii, Anna Kate, Hawaii, wow, hooray," as if the baby understood that we had finally arrived. Everyone in the terminal was delighted by the scene, and it was such a beautiful reminder to find joy in even the smallest things. For her, even the airport in Hawaii was good enough!

My favorite 2009 summer memory was taking my 1 year old to the state fair and seeing the excited look on his face when we walked in the baby animal barn. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory this summer has been spending time with my husband and dog getting ready for Baby- due September 29! It's been wonderful daydreaming about our future family and doing little projects around the house to prepare for his/her arrival. We love organic products and have incorporated many into the nursery- one of these beautiful blankets would be a perfect addition!

ReplyDeleteI will always remember this July when my husband and I got to see our baby for the first time via ultrasound and listen to heartbeat! It was especially wonderful because my husband left the next day for a year long tour in Afghanistan.
LOVE those blankets!!! So beautiful! We too are also expecting the birth of our first, due Oct 1st. And can't wait. My favorite summer memory this year has been hanging out at the pool with our family, with me in a great big belly.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite summertime memory is seeing my baby in 3D ultrasound. I was getting just a diagnostic U/S and the tech generously gave us a sneak peak in 3D. It was a little early (18 weeks) so he was really skinny, but just as precious as I imagined.
